James Kidiga: Writer from Tanzania
My 2nd Post After Joining MPP
I am writing this with great excitement and joy because my country Tanzania has been included in the Partner program. Therefore, I’m now able to paywall my stories for monetization.
This is my second story since I have joined MPP. The first one was about "It's Time for Almost All Medium Writers to Monetize Their Stories".
You can read it in your own time, there is valuable information there.
Though I already published many stories in the past, about over 60 stories while I was a regular member but ineligible for MPP.
Ok. Let me go straight to the main purpose of this story;
About me;
I am an education professional based in Mara, Tanzania. Mara is situated in the Northwestern part of Tanzania, it's where the Serengeti National Park is located (hope most of you know this amazing Park - the first-ranked national park in Africa and no 6 in the world).
I’ve been a teacher for over 10 years at a public secondary school. I enjoy the work inside the classroom while engaging in other roles such as being the coordinator for the English teachers' association in Mara region, plus other commitments.

Moreover, I became the sole Tanzanian in the top 50 finalists list of the Global Teacher Prize in 2023. It was an exciting moment and I was invited to the ceremony at UNESCO HQ in Paris in November 2023.
I also started my non-profit organization known as Pamoja Hub (Pamoja is a Swahili word which means 'Together'). This NGO aims to support vulnerable children who are subject to GBV, early marriage, FGM, and extreme poverty and help them go to school. The NGO is still small but we're still growing.
Besides that, I write and learn on different platforms. I regularly write on X and LinkedIn News Letter (named it #KidigaArticles) to share diverse insights about education, technology, and life experiences.
